Together at Disneyland
Happy Valentine's Day!
I realize I've been kinda MIA with the blog. Lots of wedding calligraphy orders / wedding assisting going on, so the blog has had to chill out for awhile.
On this day we celebrate love, let's talk about Disneyland (because Disney is kinda my love language)...
When Wes and I decided to travel to California, we agreed visiting Disneyland was a no-brainer.
Disneyland was on the top of my list of places to visit, and I'm going to be honest and say it was mostly because of Pixie Hollow inside the park ("Tinker Bell land").
If you know me, then you are familiar with my OBSESSION with Tinker Bell. The Tinker Bell movies are my favorite (the song I walked down the aisle to on my wedding day was a instrumental version of the Tinker Bell movie theme song - so yes, obsessed). Two of my closest gal pals and I will get together and watch the Tink movies and CRY because the fairies + their little stories are just so damn cute.
Like I mentioned before, Disneyland has a "Pixie Hollow" where you can meet the Disney fairies (Tinker Bell included, obviously) and walk around the fairy land as if you ARE a fairy.
And for me, this was a big deal. Like, a really big deal.
Before our trip to Disneyland, I was researching fun things to do at the park on Pinterest and came across a photoshoot that a couple did IN Pixie Hollow!! It was magical!
I showed Wes the pictures and said, "THIS IS SO CUTE! CAN WE DO THIS?"
And he laughed and said, "Sure!"
I reached out to the photographer (Michelle Lacson Photography), who has photographed dozens of weddings/engagements at Disneyland.
She was available the day of our visit and offered us a great rate. As soon as I booked the photoshoot, she ordered a painting from Catie Bee Art!
Michelle helped make our first trip to Disneyland together so memorable and exciting! After the shoot, she even waited in line to take photos of us meeting Tinker Bell in Pixie Hollow!
I cried tears of joy multiple times as we explored the park, and sweet Wes would smile and hold my hand.
That's my kind of love, I guess: holding my hand during parades, fireworks, and my nervous meet-and-greets with fictional characters.
Wes and I both agree that our favorite part of our visit to Disneyland was taking photos together around the park. It was a fun, easy way to explore the park. It also reminded us of our honeymoon shoot at Walt Disney World, which obviously brought back happy memories!
We loved our trip to Disneyland - and were thrilled with these photos! Excited to share them with you today.
