Why, hello! I'm Catie B. - and welcome to my blog!
I was born in Ridgewood, NJ and have lived in Nashville for 20 years. I graduated from Belmont University where I studied public relations/journalism.
During high school and college, I worked as studio vocalist for various recording projects with Disney Theatrical's Broadway Jr. series, Musical Theatre International, Word Music, Alfred Publishing, and LifeWay. These fun projects lead me to develop a deep appreciation for performing in a studio and bringing characters and their stories to life through music.
During the summer of my junior year of college, I moved to Orlando to perform at Walt Disney World. I had a blast interacting with park guests from all over the world and being part of the magic. I worked as seasonal performer (traveling from Nashville to Orlando several times a year) and enjoy writing about my Disney Entertainment experience.
I married my college sweetheart Wes at Walt Disney World in April 2015. Our wedding was a wonderful celebration which included a surprise visit from Mickey and Minnie, confetti cannon, lots of dancing, and fireworks.
Planning a wedding with Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings quickly sparked my interest in event-planning, which led to a job as a wedding assistant for several different event planners in Nashville.
One of my favorite aspects of my blog is helping brides (especially fellow Disney Brides) plan their fairytale wedding/honeymoon. I'm also interested in marriage/family therapy, so you'll see a few posts about relationships every now and then.
Currently, I'm focused on pursuing the magic at Walt Disney World and creating blog content and artwork for my art business, Catie Bee Art. My weekends are packed with painting orders, blogging, and designing logos and websites for dreamers starting their own businesses and nonprofits.
My dream is to one day write/illustrate children's books.
In the meantime, Wes and I are living happily-ever-after (with our perfect cat, Abu) and saving up money to travel the world, buy a house, and go on all sorts of adventures - near and far.
I love musical theatre, Irish dance, horseback riding, Zumba, art, rock-climbing, martial arts, yoga, writing, photography, eating all my favorite Disney park food, and meeting new people! Let's be friends!
